im not a fan of AI art that is meant to replicate and replace humanmade illustration but "people are using AI to 'cheat' at art instead of gitting gud" is the absolute least of AI related concerns for me.

#idg being mad at people who dont know how to draw using AI to generate portraits of their ocs or whatever #i do understand being upset that it might decrease the number of actual commissions online artists get but tbh probably not as much #as people think. at least in the informal online art world context #and i think AI art has a place where it can be its own thing. like that king charles coronation as a fleshy nightmarescape photoset #it wouldnt be the same if someone painted it or made it from photomanipulation.#the algorithm aspect IS the medium and i think theres a lot of potential in that respect
